Centaurians ace at Taekwondo Sparring Competition

Happiness, thrill and excitement — the usual mixture of emotions that someone may feel when he/she passes a sort of examination.

These are exactly what the ACES first year BS Criminology students felt after they brought home the bacon in their recently concluded sparring match against MSEUF criminology students.

The sparring match, headed by instructor Jennifer Secillano and held last October 14, 2012 at MSEUF Defense Tactic Building, Lucena City as part of the students’ Fundamentals of Martial Arts subjects was attended by about more than 200 students from both schools and concluded with the Centaurians bringing home a new set of medals to cherish.

Included in those who brought home medals were gold medalists Ruzza Leo O. Palmes II; Argel Catamio; Federico Murillo, silver medalists Juhun Alvin Asoy; Angelito Sogoni; and bronze medalists Paolo Enero; Diosdindo Llorin; Angelo Rabe; and Mark Vincent Monterico for the boys and gold medalists Maricris P. Ruz; Camille Pabrea; and Rochelle Jaca, silver medalist Marjorie Fernanadez; and bronze medalists Hannah Poblete; Nathaline Ramos; Leona Mae Masagca, and Catherine Bariata — bringing the total to seventeen medals in all.

To you, Centaurians, congratulations for an exemplary performance! Here’s to another great achievement to our small yet growing institution.
